Precinct /// Saturday 28 April 2 – 4pm

Join us for Precinct, the first of three events in the Boundaries and Belonging series developed by Hannah Campbell, Diego Chocano and Ellie Dobbs as part of their internship for the MSc in Modern and Contemporary Art History: Curating and Criticism at the University of Edinburgh.

Artist and researcher Gwen Dupré leads a reading group inspired by the work in the Inner-City exhibition. Participants will work through texts from various genres; with extracts from Octavia E. Butler, Ursula K. Le Guin and Alasdair Gray as well as non-fiction sources and pop culture references. The texts are provided in a take-home zine-style booklet and discuss themes of chaos and control in the city and the session will encourage reflection on what it means to be a ‘citizen’ and to ‘belong’.

Places are limited and booking is requested through eventbrite. Suitable for ages 16+. All materials provided and no preparation required.
